The Shure Super 55 is a dynamic vocal microphone that combines the unmistakable retro, chrome aesthetic of the 1950s with a modern performance capsule. Popularly known as the Elvis Presley microphone, this “Super“ version is a direct evolution of the classic Shure 55SH, drastically improved in its technical response. Unlike the classic 55SH (which is cardioid), the Super 55 incorporates a state-of-the-art supercardioid capsule (similar to that of the Shure Beta 58A). This gives it excellent ambient noise rejection and extremely high resistance to feedback on stage.
