From his legendary shop in New York’s SoHo, Rudy Pensa, along with John Suhr, developed this «superstrat» model especially for Mark Knopfler, guitarist of Dire Straits. This particular guitar, made in 2016, combines a hollow mahogany body with a figured maple top, a mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fretboard. As a refined detail, it features flamed maple binding on both the body and headstock.
The electronics consist of three Lindy Fralin Custom humbucker pickups, mounted in maple frames, with the option to switch them to single-coil or reverse their phase using push/pull potentiometers. A five-way selector switch provides an extremely versatile tonal palette.
The package is completed with a gold Hipshot bridge and tuners, as well as the rest of the hardware, giving it an elegant and exclusive finish.
