Paul Stanley’s Gibson Flying V Custom Shop “Starchild“ (2010)

This guitar belonged to Paul Stanley, founder, singer, and guitarist of KISS.

It was used during the band’s farewell world tour, «End of the Road Tour.»

It has modifications made at Paul’s request, who asked that only the bridge pickup and its volume potentiometer remain functional. The neck pickup and the other controls (potentiometers and pickup selector) are disconnected.

The bridge were replaced with a Gotoh wraparound and the tailpiece is a Washburn from the Starchild signature model. It was refretted with 6100 jumbo frets, the input jack was relocated, a cutaway was made on the back of the body, and a truss rod was added.

This guitar is treasured at La Roca Power Studio.
