The Mark IIC+ is a true “Vintage Boogie“ amp, based on the original Mark II design, the world’s first “dual-mode“ amplifier with independent performance channels—one dedicated to clean tones and the other to distorted tones. The IIC+ represents the third generation of this single-channel/dual-mode design and incorporates all the improvements made during its nearly five years of influence. It was also the last of its family, as the subsequent model would be called the Mark III.
The Power Select switch lets you choose between 75 watts of “SIMUL-CLASS“ power for richness, authority, and maximum headroom, or “CLASS A“ for 25 watts of reduced power.
It became a true classic after being used by Metallica during the recording of “Master of Puppets“, as it paired perfectly with EMG active microphones.
