This guitar is from the first year the SG model ceased production under the name «Les Paul,» due to Lester Polsfuss’s temporary departure from the company. From then on, it was known simply as the SG, solidifying its own identity within the Gibson line.
Its construction includes a mahogany body and neck with a slim taper profile reminiscent of the 1960s, complemented by a rosewood fretboard. The hardware consists of a Nashville-style Tune-O-Matic bridge and a Maestro Vibrola tailpiece, adding versatility and vintage character.
The electronics feature «Patent Number» humbucker pickups, delivering the classic, defined tone of the era, while Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure stability and tuning precision.
