Andres Gimenez’s Gibson Explorer (1984)

This Explorer design guitar belonged to Andrés Giménez’s personal collection during his time leading the band D-Mente.
The instrument incorporates the famous modifications that the original Gibson model received in 1984, characterized by the removal of the pickguard, the rearrangement of the potentiometers in a triangular format and the relocation of the microphone selector switch.
Regarding its construction, it has an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Its impressive sound is backed by a Gibson 500T bridge pickup and a Gibson 496R neck pickup, accompanied by a Nashville-style Tune-o-Matic bridge with Stop-Bar and Gibson/Schaller tuners, all finished in an elegant chrome color.

As a cult value, the guitar is signed by the musicians of the band Horcas.

It is currently stored in La Roca Power Studio.
