This Ibanez JSM-100 belonged to the collection of Francisco Rivero (guitarist, composer and teacher) who throughout his 50-year career traveled through diverse styles: jazz fusion, rock, blues, bossa, tango and folklore, and served as a session player for artists such as Mercedes Sosa and Alejandro Lerner, and for musicians such as Dino Saluzzi, Fat’s Fernández and Paquito D’Rivera.
The JSM-100 is a semi-hollow electric guitar manufactured in the prestigious Japanese factory FujiGen as a signature of the legendary John Scofield, based on the Ibanez AS200.
It is constructed with a semi-hollow figured maple body, glued mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, with block-shaped abalone and acrylic inlays.
Equipped with Ibanez Super 58 microphones and Gotoh hardware in gold, it combines refined aesthetics and warm sound, ideal for the multiple musical universes that Rivero knew how to explore.
This guitar is treasured in La Roca Power Studio.
