This Jazz Bass incorporates the most iconic structural modifications that Fender began implementing on this model in 1974. Among its innovations are the truss rod system with access and adjustment from the headstock (known as the bullet truss rod) and the transition to a three-bolt neck-to-body mounting system. Additionally, the thumb rest is repositioned above the lowest string, replacing the older lower design known as the thug bar.
The instrument features an offset alder body, along with a maple neck that sports the classic walnut skunk stripe to conceal the truss rod. Its fretboard is also maple and features mother-of-pearl block shaped inlays. Electronically, it is equipped with two single-coil pickups, individual volume controls, and a master tone knob. The bass is completed with the iconic 1970s Fender Clover tuners and a single-slot saddle bridge.
