One of the most sought-after resonator guitars of the pre-World War II era. This model was manufactured in the mid-1930s in Los Angeles, California by the Dopyera brothers (DOpyera BROthers), who first patented the resonator cone. It features a laminated birch body with a central aluminum resonator cone and two small sound holes covered with a grille. This model has an ebonized maple neck (darkened to resemble more precious woods) and a rosewood fingerboard; its profile is rounded in a C shape, unlike other Dobro guitars with square or straight profiles, designed to be played exclusively with a slide. It has 3+3 style tuners with black buttons.
