Dave Mustaine’s Gibson Flying V “Argentina“ (2024)

This guitar belonged to Dave Mustaine, founder, vocalist, and guitarist of Megadeth, one of the most influential thrash metal bands. Before that, he was a member of Metallica from 1981 to 1983, and his expulsion led him to create Megadeth, with whom he sold over 50 million records and won a Grammy in 2017.

It was specially made by Gibson’s custom shop for Dave Mustaine, who used it live for his shows in Buenos Aires in 2024.

It features a Flying V body and a mahogany neck with an Explorer-style headstock with in-line tuners. The fretboard is rosewood with 24 jumbo frets, custom inlays, and a single Seymour Duncan Thrash Factor pickup, controlled by a single volume potentiometer.

Among its details, we can note the recessed input jack located at the top of the body.

Signed by Dave Mustaine.

This guitar is treasured at La Roca Power Studio.
