Chizzo Nápoli’s Fender Stratocaster Anniversary (1979)

This guitar belonged to Gustavo “Chizzo” Nápoli, singer, guitarist, and leader of La Renga, one of the most iconic bands in Argentine rock. The Fender Stratocaster 25th Anniversary Edition was one of the most representative instruments of their early years, defining the band’s initial sound from the album “Esquivando charcos“.

With an ash body finished in the exclusive Porsche Inca Silver nitro finish, and a maple neck with a matching fretboard adorned with black pearloid dot inlays, this commemorative model reflects Fender’s tradition and innovation in 1979.

This edition brings back classic details: the truss rod adjustment at the heel of the neck, the removal of the Bullet Truss Rod and the Micro Tilt system, and the return to the four-bolt neck plate.

Its electronics retain the three Fender Strat pickups (bridge, middle, neck), while the hardware consists of a synchronized tremolo bridge, black knurled controls, and original Fender tuners.

Today, this guitar is treasured at La Roca Power Studio.
