La Roca Power Studio was born from the dream of Jorge Corcho Rodríguez and designed by the legendary Eddie Kramer and John Storyk, inspired by the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York—originally created for Jimi Hendrix.
More than a technical space, it is a sonic temple: a refuge in Argentina where music breathes with international standards, and artists discover an environment of freedom, excellence, and limitless creativity.
Unlike most traditional studios, at La Roca Power Studio both the live room and the control room open through large windows onto a spacious park, filling every session with natural light, openness, and a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere.
The construction blends the building’s original bricks and wood with modern finishes and LED lighting, creating a perfect balance between heritage and innovation.
The acoustics, optimized with NIRO technology by REDIacoustics, feature angular diffusers and micro-perforated treatments, ensuring exceptional sonic precision in every room.
The main control room houses a custom-built 48-channel Rupert Neve Designs 5088 console —the only one of its kind in South America and one of just three worldwide— paired with ATC reference monitors. This system features Class A microphone preamplifiers and internationally renowned analog equalizers, celebrated for their transparency and sonic character. Together, they provide a wide palette of dynamics and textures, ensuring professional results across any production.
The studio is fully equipped for Dolby Atmos mixing and creation, delivering a cutting-edge immersive experience that places the listener at the very heart of the music.
La Roca Power Studio boasts a selection of vintage analog processors that truly make a difference in every mix. Among them are four Pultec EQP‑1A equalizers, two Urei Universal Audio 1176LN Limiting Amplifiers —an iconic analog compressor/limiter— and the Fairchild 670, regarded as the holy grail of vintage compressors for its unmatched sound quality. Adding to this collection are the Gates Sta‑Level, outstanding on vocals, bass, guitars, and drums, and the classic Teletronix LA‑2A, celebrated for its smooth compression and warm response. Together, these units deliver a unique sonic character and results of international caliber.
The complex is completed by a bright live room that houses a Steinway & Sons Model B grand piano with 88 keys, two isolation booths, and several specialized rooms. Among them stands out the space featuring a Hammond B3 with Leslie speaker —all original from 1963— alongside a Fender Rhodes piano from 1978.
The studio features a room dedicated exclusively to two EMT 140 plate reverbs from 1963, true gems that provide a classic character and unmatched sonic depth, capable of transforming every performance into an immersive and timeless experience.
La Roca Power Studio stands out for its collection of vintage instruments and equipment, carefully preserved to deliver a unique sound.
They are not mere recording tools: they are protagonists that bring character, texture, and emotion, transforming each session into an unrepeatable sonic experience, such as:
